Roger Federer has admitted he gets nervous when fellow tennis legends turn up to watch him play.
Celebrities including David Beckham and Bradley Cooper were in the crowd on Wednesday as the seven-time Wimbledon winner fought back from two sets down to defeat Marin Cilic in a thrilling 5 set quarter-final.
“I didn’t see them before the match, didn’t see them after the match, didn’t speak to them before the match, didn’t speak to them after the match. But it was nice to see them there”
Federer’s defeat of Cilic in the last eight pits the 34-year-old against sixth seed Milos Raonic in the semi-finals on Friday and means he is now just two wins away from an 18th Grand Slam title.
