Watch the highlights above to catch the near misses and goals scored in Frances hard fought 2-0 win against Germany.
A play missing in this video that was play of the game in our eyes was Germany’s Benedikt Howedes tackle to save Olivier Giroud’s wide open goal.
The France striker won a strong header against Germany’s Jerome Boateng on halfway and began racing away with the ball towards Manuel Neuer’s goal.
It would’ve given Les Bleus a valuable 1-0 lead in the 42nd minute of the Euro 2016 semi-final, but somehow Germany’s Benedikt Höwedes recovered to make the challenge of the tournament.
The German defender sprinted towards Giroud and block the Arsenal forward’s shot with a perfect sliding effort.
While Neuer may have well saved Giroud’s shot, Höwedes effort will go down as a classic tackle.
Unfortunately the efforts were in vain as Antoine Griezmann scored from the penalty spot four minutes later after a Bastian Schweinsteiger handball, before sealing the win in the 72nd minute with a second goal.
