Australian NBA star Matthew Dellavedova has been successfully traded to the Milwaukee Bucks after Cleveland agreed to an exchange for Albert Miralles and a monetary agreement.

Dellavedova’s move from the NBA champions was all but secured last week and was finally confirmed with this trade deal; the Cavs have taken a $4.8million trade exception as well as Miralles.

“We wish Delly the best as he continues his career in Milwaukee,” Griffin said.

“Delly is a special person on and off the court and was a very dedicated, hard worker that grew as part of our team and made significant contributions to our success.

“Our coaches and his teammates will always appreciate his ‘all in’ approach to the game, as he was ready to contribute whenever his number was called. We know he will continue to grow and succeed as he takes the next steps of his NBA journey with the Bucks.”

Delly left with class as he had some great things to say on twitter to both his Cleveland fans and his new family in Milwaukee.

Dellavedova became a hero in Cleveland during last year’s NBA playoffs when he inspired the Cavaliers to an unlikely, but ultimately fruitless, lead in the Finals showdown with Golden State Warriors.

Delly’s also been at the forefront for this new, no holds barred, aggressive defence we’ve been seeing in the NBA over the last couple of season. Being seen by many as a ‘dirty’ player.

We can’t wait to see what Delly has to offer at the Bucks, and wish him well in the upcoming season. It looks to be a good one.
