Good news: Marc Gasol is fine.
Memphis Grizzlies fans held their breath when the center exited Saturday’s preseason contest versus the Houston Rockets during the third quarter with an apparent right ankle injury.
The team announced he had a sore right ankle and wouldn’t return.
Gasol missed the final 30 games of last season after undergoing surgery to repair his broken right foot. After Saturday’s game, he told reporters he was fine and said fans shouldn’t worry about the ailment.
He later doubled down on his claim to be OK by tweeting this GIF of rapper Notorious B.I.G. with the lyrics, “It’s all good, baby baby”:
